Utah couple eats doughnuts stuffed with blades

In an attempt to get a “settlement of some sort” from a food store, a couple in Draper, Utah, ate donuts stuffed with razor blades as large as a thumbnail. Carole Lee Leazer-Hardman, 39, and Michael Condor, 35, bought a packet of doughnuts at Smith’s Food Store, stuffed razor blades inside them and ate them.

They even tried to convince one of their co-workers to eat one of the tainted doughnuts. She suffered minor cuts to her mouth but avoided swallowing the blades.

Hardman and Condor called local police on Wednesday to complaint that they had found a triangular blade inside the packet of doughnuts they bought from the food store.. But cops became suspicious when the two stories they heard diverged. Condor later confessed he tried to eat get money from the store because he and his girlfriend are in debt.
