The dead body of the royal hoax nurse Jacintha Saldanha landed in India on Sunday where her funeral will be held. The coffin arrived wrapped in sackcloth and up to 5,000 people are expected to take part in the ceremony in southern India. Jacintha’s husband Benedict Barboza and her two children Lisha, 14, and Juanal, 16, will also take part in the funeral on Monday afternoon.
As Metro reports, the funeral will take place at Our Lady of Health Church in the town of Shirva, Karnatak.
Jacintha, 46, committed suicide at London’s King Edward VII hospital after taking the prank call by two Australian DJs who pretended to be members of the royal family. Mrs Saldanha, 46, came under intense criticism after transferring the call to the nurse who was taking care of the Duchess of Cambridge.
