A young British soldier who lost both legs in an attack in Afghanistan asked the female medic who rescued him to show him her boobs after the effect of morphine had faded.
Emily Tomkins, 21, was treating the soldier who had just lost both legs in an attack led by Taliban forces in Helmand, Afghanistan, when she was asked to show her breasts.
The morphine was doing little to relieve the man’s pain but the medic didn’t feel like giving him more, reports The Sun. So the soldier asked: “Well do something useful and show me your boobs.”
She refused and dragged the young man to safety. The 21-year-old saved the man’s life and was recently awarded a Mention in Dispatches. “I was just doing my job,” she said.
