Vicky Callaghan, a 33-year-old mother of two, lost her job as a social worker after it emerged that she had an affair with a troubled 16-year-old. Callaghan was assigned to the boy by social workers to help him get over his ‘attachment issues’.
The relationship was uncovered by Vicky’s ex-husband, 46-year-old Peter Callaghan, when he saw the birthday card the young boy had written to her. It read: “To Vicky, lots of love”. The couple were later seen walking hand in hand in Manchester, England, reports The Daily Mail.
Mrs Callaghan was forced to resign after her liaison was uncovered but she is still seeing the young boy. Police are investigating whether her relationship with the teenager can be considered a criminal offence.
