ROME – Former Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi has settled his divorce case with his second wife Veronica Lario. Mr Berlusconi will be paying his wife of 22 years 100,000 euro ($130k) a day alimony – 3 million euro a year ($4 million). The Italian mogul will keep his estates.
According to the Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera, the paperwork was filed Christmas Day at Milan’s tribunal. Berlsuconi’s wife announced she was divorcing from Italy’s former premier after a report revealed that he attended an 18th birthday party of a Naples girl. Mr Berlusconi and Veronica Lario have three children together.
Berlusconi, 76, recenlty announced his intention to run for prime minister for the sixth time in 2013. He’s also dating a woman 50 years younger than him. Francesca Pascale, 27, in an MP in the former premier’s People of Freedom party.
