More than 200 people have been killed by typhoon Bopha in the Philippines. Flash floods and landslides have hit mainly the southern part of the country with winds of up to 210 km/h. As the BBC reports, more than 40,000 people were forced to evacuate their homes. One of the worst hit areas of the country was the mining region of Compostela Valley where strong winds and heavy rains caused power outages.
