WATCH French reporter groped on live TV in Egypt

Sonia DridiA French journalist who was reporting on the latest protests at Cairo’s main square was ‘savagely attacked’ by a crowd that had gathered around her. Sonia Dridi, Egypt’s correspondent for the French channel France 24 TV, was seized and groped by the crowd after a live broadcast near Tahrir’s square on Friday night.

Dridi was attacked at 10:30 p.m.. It took her crew thirty minutes to take the young journalist’s away from the angry crowd. She was rescued by a member of the crew she thanked the following day via her Twitter account: ”Thanks to @ashrafkhalil for protecting me in #Tahrir last nite. Mob was pretty intense. thanks to him I escaped from the unleashed hands,’ she tweeted.
