NEW YORK – A group of Chinese astronauts are getting ready to grow vegetables in space, the potential places selected are the Moon and Mars.

Apparently tests have been done in Beijing and the “ecological life support system” will let astronauts have their own stock of air, water and food whilst in the space.

Vegetables will be grown in “extra-terrestial bases both on the Moon and Mars”, Xinhua news agency reports.
