NEW YORK, United States - Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old whistleblower who leaked the NSA documents is no longer an employee of consulting firm Booz Allen.

In the statement the firm said they had terminated Snowden’s contract because he had violated “the firm’s code of ethics and firm policy.” In an interview with The Guardian, the 29-year-old revealed that he was the man behind the NSA leaks, the biggest in US history. The full Booz Allen statement said:

News reports that this individual has claimed to have leaked classified information are shocking, and if accurate, this action represents a grave violation of the code of conduct and core values of our firm. We will work closely with our clients and authorities in their investigation of this matter.

Snowden’s annual salary was $122,000. He was interviewed in a swanky Honk Kong hotel called ‘Mira’ where he reportedly checked out on Monday.
