Officers Recount Rescue Of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight

Three Cleveland officers recount the moments during and after the rescue of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight who spent almost a decade in captivity.

On May 6 three girls that had been held captive for almost a decade inside a Cleveland home were rescued . Officers were called to the scene after one of the three abducted girls – Amanda Berry – managed to escape from the house on Seymor Avenue with the help of a neighbor.

An 11-minute video was released by Cleveland police two days ago and so far it is the most graphic piece of evidence of the rescue of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight. In the video Clevleand police interviews officers Anthony Espada, Tracy and Barbara Johnson who took part in the rescue operation.

Espada was one of the first officers to rescue Amanda Berry and her six-year-old daughter. He says: “Just the emotion at that point of my partner confirming that it was Amanda…It was overwhelming.” After they rescued Amandsa they broke in Ariel Castro’s house and found Gina DeJesus first and then Michelle Knight who “kind of popped out into the doorway.”

Ariel Castro, 52, was arrested shortly after the rescue of the three captive women. He is accused of kidnapping and raping the three women but plans to plead not guilty to the charges once the trial starts.

Footage of a public execution in Syria, where rebels and loyalists to President Bashar Al-Assad have been fighting each other for two years, has emerged.

The video shows three soldiers – Assad loyalists – sitting on the curb in a square in the northern city of Raqqa as a masked man is reading a paper out loud.

After the man finishes reading the paper, the three men are shot dead and those who witnessed the killing raise their weapons to celebrate. The black flag hanging from the statue in the middle of the square belongs to a group of jihadists.

The city of Raqqa is under the rebel’s control since March 2013. Recently a video of a Syrian rebel eating the heart of a Pro-Government fighter went viral.

Spanish Priest Caught Performing Sex Act On Man Is Dismissed (Video)

A Catholic priest in Spain was caught on film in an amorous embrace with a male friend.

Father Francisco Javier Ruiz was dismissed from his position as a priest in the city of Murcia after a cyclist filmed a 29-second clip that showed him performing oral sex on another man. Alejandro Mejias was reportedly biking around Los Cuadrados de Murcia when he caught the priest in the act. The video went viral after it was uploaded to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

Ruiz claims the man in the video is not him and has asked the police to have the video destroyed. “I have never been in the area and I do not recognize those images that you are describing. It is a montage,” said the priest.

Bus driver John Porter was at the wheel when a deer came crashing through the vehicle’s windshield and hitched a ride without paying the fare.

The driver was driving around Johnstown, Pennsylvania, when the animal suddenly appeared in front of the bus crashing through the windshield. The animal survived the impact and walked out of the vehicle after Mr Porter had pulled over by the side of the road.

Texas Tornado Kills At Least 6 in Granbury

At least six people died when a Tornado flattened homes in Texas on Wednesday night. The tornado touched down in Granbury destroying most of the 120 homes that were in the neighborhood.

Matt Zavadsky, a spokesman for MedStar Mobile Healthcare, said: “With these types of tornadoes, they touch down; they lift up; they touch down. They tend to hopscotch.”

The tornado left behind wreckage and debris and injured more than 100 people. Survivors said the hail that came down was the size of softballs. According to Dallas News, 14 people are unaccounted for, meaning the deat toll could rise.

Australia: Colin Fielder Resuscitated One Hour After He Had Died (Video)

Colin Fielder, a 39-year-old Australian, was brought back to life thanks to a resuscitation technique almost an hour after he had died.

The technique is one of two doctors at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne are carrying out to treat patients who have suffered heart attacks. The CPR machine that saves Mr Fielder’s life is called the Auto Pulse Machine. It resuscitated the man after it figured out the cause of the heart attack and treated it with a persistant oxygen and blood flow.

So far, seven patients have been treated with the machine and three were revived. All three patients have returned home with no disabilities. “I’m so grateful, more than I could ever say,” said Fielder after he survived the heart attack in June 2012.

Photos obtained by the CNN show the untidy yard of Ariel Castro’s home.

The photos were taken by a nextdoor neighbor of the former school bus driver who held captive Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight in his Cleveland home for almost a decade.

The first picture reveals an untidy area with dozens of objects, including a basketball net, lying around. The second picture shows rolls of barbed wire in the yard.

Among other objects were found in the back yard, there are “thick and heavy chains” as well as a mirror that allowed Castro to see who was coming up his driveway. Photos of Castro’s home also show that he removed his windows and replaced him with wood panelling.

A video of a Texas student going off on a teacher for not taking her job seriously has gone viral.

Jeff Bliss allegedly complained with his World history/Asian American Studies over the way she communicates with students. The student, who attends Duncanville High School on the outskirts of Dallas, got kicked out of the class after he said:

You gotta take this job serious, this is the future of this nation. And when you come in here, like you did last time, and make a statement, about ‘oh, this is my paycheck’ — indeed it is. But this is my country’s future, and my education.

The video went viral and the teacher has been put on administrative leave. Bliss, who was reportedly “giving out high fives ouside the school”, will face no disciplinary action.

A shy humble female North Korean traffic officer was awarded a medal of honor allegedly for foiling a terrorist attack and saving Kim Jong Un’s life.

Reports on the reason why the young woman named Ri-Ryong Sim was honored at a military ceremony are quite vague.

According to the Atlantic Wire, a traffic officer doesn’t usually receive such an important award and a North Korean defector was quoted as saying that the award “might have been linked to an assassination attempt disguised as a traffic accident.”

Assassination attempts disguised as traffic accidents aren’t a novelty in the world’s most secretive state. Last year, a secret North Korean agent was captured in China by South Korea’s secret services. The agent had been ordered to kill Kim Jong Nam, Kim Jong Un’s brother, “by staging a car accident.” The brother of North Korea’s leader is now believed to be in hiding in Singapore.

Annalisa Santi, 21, is enrolled as a law student at the Pontifica Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) in Buenos Aires. It is not known how good of a law student she is but her YouTube followers have other things on their minds after the video below was posted. Crowd at the Shanghai Animal Park were left horrified when a bear ate a monkey after a circus stunt went wrong.

Footage shows a monkey and a bear performing a stunt on two bikes. After two laps of the track, the two animals collide and the monkey gets stuck under the bear’s bike. The black bear gets off its bike and eats the animal. As The Daily Mail reports, it is not clear when the video was shot. What is known, is that the park’s show ‘Wild Animal Olympics’ was suspended in 2006.

The first fully 3D printed gun has been successfully test-fired.

The gun is called The Liberator after the one-shot pistols France received from its Allies during World War II to fight the Nazi occupation. The weapon consists of 15 parts and for now it can only fire ammunition of a certain size. The 3D printed gun was tested on May 1 by Defense Distributed founder Cody Wilson.

Uproxx.com reports:

It was printed on a used Dimension with a chamber heated to 167℉ for better resiliency. Wilson also treated the gun barrels with acetone vapor to smooth the surface and reduce friction. This may be why the gun is able to withstand the heat and pressure of .380 caliber bullets that would normally destroy this type of plastic.

The gun was tested on a private shooting range on the outskirts of Austin, Texas, at a location that was undisclosed. As Forbes reports, Cody fired a standard .380 handgun but it also misfired in a few other occasions.

Florida Teenager Who Survived Shark Attack Thinks It Was Cool (Video)

A Florida teenager is lucky to be alive after surviving a shark attack on Saturday.

Michael Adler, 16, was surfing with three friends when a shark attacked him ripping four of his tendons. The teenager had already been in the water for over two hours when the shark attacked him.

The young surfer said the attack wasn’t too painful but feared he might have been followed all the way to shore after he freed himself from the shark’s jaws. “I thought it [the shark] would smell the blood and follow me in again,” he said.

The young surfer had to undergo surgery to repair his tendons and received more than 40 stitches. “The doctors lost count after 3o,” Adler said.

A pilot died on Sunday after crashing at an air show in Spain’s capital.

Ladislao Tejedor Romero crashed to the ground after failing to pull off a stunt at an air show in Madrid. The pilot suffered multiple injuries in the crash and was rushed to hospital after a rescue team pulled him out of the cockpit. He died of severe injuries at the hospital. The pilot was flying in a vintage jet fighter, an Hispano Avacion HA-200 built in the 1950s. None of the 3,000 spectators were injured.

Suspect Gets Killed After Firing on Police With AK47 (VIDEO)

A dash cam video captured the shootout between a 42-year-old suspect and two police officers in Ohio.

James L. Gilkerson, 42, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio, was killed in a shootout with the police. The man was driving in his car on Route 608 (North State Avenue) and Tare Creek when he stopped, got out and began firing shots on the officers.

The two officers were injured in the standoff but returned fire and killed the man at the scene. “I heard a bang, bang bang,” said Christopher Coggins. One of the officers was a female and was taken to a local hospital to undergo emergency surgery. The male officer sustained minor injuries to his left knee.

Syria: Pre-Dawn Raid Kills Thousands in Damascus (Video)

A huge explosion in Damascus, the capital of Syria, was caught on camera.

Syrian State Television claims the strike was conducted by Israeli forces and hit multiple targets in the Syrian capital.

According to a statement that appeared on Facebook page and run through Google Translate, there were more than 40 explosions in the raid on the nation’s military research facility and at least two thousand soldiers were killed.

In an early morning interview on Sunday with the CNN, Syria’s Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al Mekdad has the attack conducted by Israeli forces is a “declaration of war”.

Israeli forces would not comment on the reports accusing them of firing the rockets that struck the military facility.

Seven members of the opposition led by 40-year-old Henrique Capriles claim they were attacked by members of the ruling party led by Nicolás Maduro. Government lawmakers instead blamed their ‘fascist’ rivals for the brawl. “We knew the opposition came to provoke violence,” said the 50-year-old leader. “This must not be repeated.”

A video showing Turkmenistan’s president falling off a horse during a race last Sunday was removed from the internet.

Gurbanguli Berdymukhamedov was thrown from the horse during a race honoring the country’s homegrown horse breed Akhal-Teke. The video quickly went viral in the country and forced local authorities to shut down access to the Internet and forbid the press from reporting about the presidential tumble.

Turkmenistan’s president fell from the horse dubbed “Mighty” shortly after crossing the finish line first. The person who recorded the video said the president was rescued and returned after half an hour to accept the prize. Mr. Berdymukhamedov won $11 million he donated to a fund that promotes local horse breeding.

A woman who injured herself in the Boston Marathon Bombing appeared on the ABC Show ‘Dancing With The Stars’.

Adrianne Haslet, 32, is a ballroom dancer who lost her left foor in the Boston bombing on April 15. She appeared on the show and said she will do “whatever it takes” to dance again. “I was in a very dark place – it’s the longest I’ve gone without dancing for as long as I remembered. I absolutely will dance again,” she said.

A second surveillance video showing the abduction of 25-year-old mother Jessica Heering was released on Wednesday

A second surveillance video showing the van where a Michigan mother was allegedly forced into on April 29 was released Wednesday evening.

Jessica Heeringa, a 25-year-old mother who was on a night shift at a gas station in Norton Shores, Mich., was last seen Friday night around 11:15 p.m.. The young woman was abducted at the Exxon Mobil gas station after being forced into a Chrysler minivan. The vehicle was driven by a white male aged between 30 and 40. The case is being investigated as an abduction.

The first video was released by investigators on Monday.

Scientists discovered that hurricanes on Saturn are far more disruptive after a Nasa probe captured a vortex in the north pole of the planet. “We did a double take when we saw this vortex because it looks so much like a hurricane on Earth,” said Andrew Ingersoll, a member of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.

Once the business is up and running tourists will fly out of the atmosphere for $200,000.

A father in India was charged with endangering the life of his 9-year-old son for letting him drive his Ferrari on his birthday.

According to authorities in the state of Kerala the father let his son and his 7-year-old brother go for a spin in the red Ferrari two weeks ago.- The video appeared online twoo weeks ago and shows the younger brother sitting in the passenger seat next to him.

Despite the charges, the young boy’s father doesn’t seem to be moved. “I am proud of him. He’s been driving since he was 5… It was his ninth birthday, and since he was insisting for months, we allowed him to drive the Ferrari.”

Two British students filmed from their apartment in Belfast, Northern Ireland, filmed a hapless woman spending almost 30 minutes to park her car into a gap.

The video was uploaded to YouTube after the two friends filmed the woman’s struggles with a mobile phone. Ciaran Doherty and Ciaran Shannon had been watching the woman for 15 minutes before they started videoing.

Joan Baldoví is a member of the left wing party Catalan Compromís-Equo. He staged a mock striptease whilst speaking in the Spanish parliament on Wednesday to protest against Spain‘s policy of forced home evictions.

Far from a hairy chest, Baldoví exposed a red t-shirt he wore underneath which displayed the words ‘Stop Desahucios.’ The design was thought to be that used by Spain’s peak anti-evictions lobby, Platform for Mortgage Victims (PAH).

PAH, who are led by activist Ada Colau have recently received a lot of negative press when their demonstrations – known as “escrache” protests – targeted the homes and offices of politicians.

This has led to their protests repeatedly being called undemocratic and even “pure nazism” by Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and his second in command María Dolores de Cospedal.

In 2012, more than 38,000 residences were taken back by lenders.

Fire at Psychiatric Hospital in Moscow kills 38

At least 38 people died in a blaze that erupted in a wing of a psychiatric hopital in the Moscow region on Friday.

A fire at a psychiatric hospital on the outskirts of Moscow has killed at least 38 people. As Russia Times reports, the fire started around 2:30 am Moscow time in a wing of the clinic in Ramenskoe. The only survivors were a nurse and two patients she brought to safety after being woken up by the fire alarm.

A series of misfortunes seem to have the been the cause of so many deaths. The trip from the local fire station to the hospital takes 20 minutes but a closed river crossing slowed firefighters down and they arrived at the clinic after an hour. By the time rescue operations began, the hospital was covered in flames.

Also, bars on the windows prevented patients to escape the fire. Most bodies were retrieved from their beds while four were found close to the exit of the building. A law enforcement agent was quoted as saying:

The fire started when they were asleep. Some of them tried to escape but were poisoned by the products of combustion.

Faulty electric wiring seems to have been the cause of the fire.

In 2012, the hospital was visited twice by fire inspectors. During the first visit, several fire safety violations were found. They were fixed in time for the second inspection that took place in August.

Yuri Deshevih, a member of the Emergency Ministry told RIA:

Primary inspections discovered routine violations: no lampshades on lamps, exit signs were not everywhere, difficult reach fire water supply. In August 2012, they had a re-inspection – all violations had been corrected.

Authorities in Moscow will commemorate the victims with a day of mourning on April 27.

The devastation caused by a fertilizer plant explosion in the town of West isn’t the first time Texas experiences such an ordeal.

In 1947, more than 500 people died in Texas City following an explosion of a ship containing ammonium nitrate fertilizer. To date, it’s the country’s deadliest industrial accident.

The Texas City disaster occured on April 16, 1947 when a fire developed suddenly aboard a ship. Members of the crew decided to put out the fire without water. The fire grew and the explosion that followed was so devastating a shockwave was felt 250 miles away.

Wingsuit flyer Alexander Polli pulled off an amazing stunt in Montserrat, Spain. He flew through a narrow cave at the amazing speed of 155 miles per hour.

The Italian-Norwegian stuntman did two test jumps before jumping from a hovering helicopter and sucessfully fly through the “Batman Cave!”.

The driver claimed that the accelerator was stuck and they couldn’t stop the car. The two cars inside the garage got damaged. As a result of this accident security cameras have been installed in the neighbourhood.

A hotel owner filmed the aftermath of the Boston Marathon explosion. Marc Hagopian was 35 yards away from the bomb blasts and the footage he caught on camera shows victims of the explosion with limbs missing. The 50-year-old hotel owner was interviewed by The Daily Mail and said the second bomb blast came just seconds after the first. “There was blood everywhere, along with severed limbs, It was just awful,” he said.

Nebraska Bus Driver Fired

The City of Lincoln, Nebraska, released a video of a black man being beaten by a bus driver. Troy Fischer, the bus driver, stopped the vehicle and hit the passenger after refusing to answer a question the 40-year-old passenger had asked.

According to The Lincoln Journal Star, Fischer had instructed the passenger to get off but he didn’t so he stopped the bus, attacked him and then dragged him out of the vehicle and left him by the side of the road.

The City of Lincoln launched an investigation into the matter that resulted in Fisher being fired. The man who was assaulted hasn’t been identified.

Police Officer Eats Daughter’s Marijuana Cake: “I Thought I Was Dying” (Video)

Mike Berkemeier, a police chief in Laurelville, Ohio, thought his time had come after eating a marijuana cake brought home by a friend of his fiancee’s younger daughter. The police officer was at home on Easter Sunday when he saw the cake sitting on his kitchen counter. After eating all the cake, Berkemeier felt confused, like he never had before in his life. He said:

It’s the most awful feeling in the world. I really didn’t think I was going to live to see the next day. And that’s the God’s honest truth.

The officer was taken to the Berger Hospital in Circleville after he drove himself to the local police station. Tests were conducted on the police officer but it wasn’t until he was on the phone with his fiancee Vanessa Vara that the truth finally surfaced. Mr Berkeemeir was quoted in the local paper as saying:

When Vara asked her daughter where the cake came from, a scream was immediately heard over the phone. I could hear it from the hospital bed. I could hear it over my fiance’s phone. And then I thought, what is going on? She hangs up the phone and says it was the cake, get the nurse.

Doctors immediately gave the police officer a sedative. Local police are trying to get to the bottom of the case.

Isaac Brumaghin, a 37-year-old Hawaii fisherman, was shocked when he saw a nine-foot-shark he called Chompy leap out of the water and take his tuna. The scary esxperience was filmen by a camera mounted on the man’s kayak.

Chicago Store Owner Foils Armed Robbery

Luis Quizhpe, a 62-year-old store owner in Chicago, foiled an armed robbery with a baseball bat. In the video, Quizhpe got hold of the bat after a robber pointed a gun at him while the other one held a gun to his brother-in-law’s head.

“I thought it was a toy, but what made me frightened and really made me angry was when they grabbed my brother-in-law by the neck and they were pointing the gun at him,” Quizhpe said.

The 62-year-old store owner began wielding the bat and hitting one of the robbers as shots were being fired at him. A total of 10 gun shots were fired and some hit him in the leg. “I lost about a pint of blood,” said the store owner.

One of the two alleged robbers was caught by the police shortly after the incident. 53-year-old Cornell Mack has been charged with attempted murded and armed robbery following the arrest.

Anaïs Bordier is a French student who noted a striking resemblance with American actress Samantha Futerman after seeing a video of her on YouTube. In a personal vlog run by Futerman, the young student found out they were born on the same day and that both of them had been adopted.

The two girls began to exchange messages through Facebook and began to think that they might be sisters. Since they got in touch with each other, the two young women are catching up on their lives and will soon carry out a DNA test to see if they are siblings.
