LONDON, England – Fabio Capello’s decision to defy the FA ruling over the John Terry row with Anton Ferdinand almost caused a rift with some of England’s top players. Fabio Capello has reportedly told England players that the FA should not have stripped Terry of the captaincy and told the Chelsea captain that he will pick him for Euro 2012.
Mr Capello is scheduled to meet the FA bosses today or tomorrow, reports The Daily Star, and will justify his decision by saying that the players who do not agree with him will not be called up. Capello could face a dressing-room backlash “given the player involved in the row” is the brother of England defender Rio Ferdinand.
