BELGRADE, Serbia – Freezing Serbian weather has taken its toll. Three people have died due to havy snow and freezing temperatures. Police said Monday that three elederly people were found dead in the snow.
Authorities urged people to stay indoors as temparatures dropped as low as minus 20 Celsius (minus 4 Fahrenheit.) Heavy snow has also caused problems in traffic and power supplies, leaving thousands without electricity for much of the past week.
