TEHRAN, Iran – A Sunday report by the Iranian newspaper Shargh daily claims that the country’s OPEC governor will view as an unfriendly act the increase of oil production by neighboring countries. Msnbc reports that Iran called the Arab nations that would eventually raise their oil output an “accomplice in their consequences.”

Recent U.S. sanctions were approved against Iran last month hitting their central bank and “its ability to sell petroleum abroad.” Iran is OPEC’s second largest oil producer and was sanctioned over its uranium enrichment program which is allegedly aimed “at building bombs.” Iran has always stated that its program is to generate electricity.
